Located just outside Worcester city centre, Gheluvelt Park is a large memorial park built in honour of those lost in the First World War. The park combines formal gardens, riverside green spaces and family-friendly facilities, making it a fantastic place for a family day out.
One of the biggest attractions for families during the warmer months is the popular Splashpad, which can be found in the formal park area.
The Splashpad at Gheluvelt Park
The Splashpad is a hugely popular water play feature designed for toddlers through to early teens. On sunny days it becomes one of the best free things to do with children in Worcester, giving kids the chance to cool off, run through water jets and enjoy active outdoor play.
The Splashpad sits close to the play area and seating areas, making it easy for families to spend several hours in the park. Nearby toilets, baby changing facilities and refreshments add to the convenience for parents visiting with younger children.
If you are planning a visit during warm weather or school holidays, it is a good idea to bring towels, spare clothes, sun cream and drinks, as the Splashpad can get very busy.
Splashpad Opening Times

19 July – 1 September: 11am – 6pm
Please note: Dogs are not allowed on the Splashpad area.
